Lithium jump starter: NOCO GB70 Boost HD

I just purchased this unit to carry in my 110.
It's the heavy duty unit that RACQ use, and I've seen them work on my van when it died in town.
A quality item, US design and company.
It also allows for USB charging of electronics, and or cigarette plug connection.
It has a very bright LED torch, and 2000Amps of output for around 40 jumps per charge of up to 6 litre Diesel engines!!!
I have a dual battery system but this just offers more redundancy and ease for my more isolated trips.
I'm very happy with this purchase and it offers peace of mind.

Yep, and it also powers my telescope via the cig lighter plug function, which I'm very happy about. No more lugging a 12 volt wet cell car jump kit around.
$500, so it's worth a bit, but beats being left on the side of the road etc.

I am very curious to hear some actual real life use of these devices, as I have doubts about them from the very fact of the small wires they use from the unit to the clips.
I have experience when i have had a flat battery and tried to use my light set of booster cables but was unsuccessful at boost starting the vehicle - as soon as I put my heavier set on the vehicle started right away.

I can vouch for these units, they work very well indeed.
I work for a car/truck carrier company, and we are constantly having to jump start vehicles, either in the yard or on the back of the trailer.
We still use batteries on trolleys for around the yard, but if you have a flat on the top decks of your trailer, then these units are a life saver.

The ones we have, are roughly the same size as Ken's but they also have a 24v function to jump start the trucks. It's usually the trucks that are flat, as they sit in our yards for a month or so till they get sent out to the dealers.

They get used everyday, and have worked flawlessly so far. We've been using them for 2 years now.

Mine works incredibly well too. I first thought it was a waste of money when trying to jump my Toyota - then I discovered the on button.

    This unit works

    Hi Crash.
RACQ used this specific unit to start my very dead VW T5 diesel van and the tech recommended it.
He tried lesser units with no luck, and went away and returned with this. He swears by it, and he would know.
There is rubbish out there, and then there is this unit.

Good insurance with these modern vehicles, especially camping with kids.
