Additional fuse box on Accessory circut

    Discovery 2 TD5

I would like to add an additional 6way fuse block under the steering wheel and next to the factory fuse block. A couple of questions.

To only have power to the fuse block when the key is in ACC or IGN, I assume I need a relay with a trigger from the ACC circuit?
What's the best way to pick up on that ACC circuit for the relay?

The fuse block is for a UHF, 4xUSB ports, GPS unit power

    Cheers

You could use a Fuzblock - FUZEBLOCKS.COM and wire direct to battery. Pick up the trigger from a switched fuse in the main fuse box or taped into an accessorised source such as the 12v power socket.

While not sure you want to do it, you can have direct or switched power from the Fuzblock depending how you orient the fuses.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I am doing.

I'm going to run a line directly from the +battery and the main ground bus in the engine bay on an 80amp inline maxi-fuse to a 70amp 4 post relay next to the internal fusebox. From there it will run to a 6-way baintech fuse box. The relay will be triggered by a switched circuit on the factory fusebox with an add-a-fuse unit.

    All worked out.
