NBN hasn't happened in our area yet, so don't believe the spin that it's completed. Think we'll just delay and see if we eventually get a proper fibre connection first up.

Where is it finished? Certainly not by a long way down here in places. I know quite a few people including some here on the forum within 50KM of me that still don’t even have a connection date yet.
And I know others that have to wait until 2022 to have them come back and connect units - when they first rolled it out, it was one connection per block of land - if that block had 6 units on it, only 1 would be connected (first in best dressed) and no one else can be. With the copper in those areas disconnected there is no internet unless you pay through the nose for 4G data. Again, I friends in this very situation - the fibre is actually in a JB next t their front door, but only connected to the next unit, and zero ways of getting a connection until the rollout is complete - as I said, current estimate for them is 2022 to get a connection.
I was under the impression that they had called it complete.....
Wait, here is the press release

We don't have it either. We have ADSL. At present we have 2.2 mbps down and 0.5 up. My wife is working from home for a Gov't Dept and often has to drive away from here to get enough signal to send/receive an email or make a call. I think we'll move before anything improves.
Don.
Very happy. They arrived and installed it and it has never missed a beat since.
Not installed here in Maleny yet, and that's part of the Sunshine Coast, so definitely not a backwater.
Had fixed wireless NBN for a week and so far it's good.
I've speedtested it repeatedly and had downloads ranging from 48 down to 28, on a 50 Mbs plan, which is much better than the ADSL, so happy with that.
Strong winds last night only caused a couple of brief freezes, so that's good.
Installation was trouble-free, except when the guy found a carpet python snoozing in the roof cavity!
In a word NOT
Was quite happy with ADSL? or whatever it was prior. SWAMBO decided to get Netflix and it spends more time with the revolving circle than actually watching shows - I wear it! Our node is almost a km away in the middle of Fremantle.
