2DIN, GPS, Car entertainment for a Puma?

Did a decent trip into NSW (the foreign land ) over the past few days. My Hema HN7 has been serving me well, lighting my path into the unknown for a few years. However when I started the D90 up this morning hema gave me a deathly stare! O no, poor Hema.... After falling from the screen, being left in the sun, covered in dust so thick I couldn't see the screen and general abuse it seems it is no longer reliable. (it did start up and load something a few hours later)

So, I love my Hema but a defender screen is very small and I would like to at least investigate the possibility of switching to an indash gps/music/blueteeth unit thingo. I saw another thread here discussing double din dash facias, I found this one that looks like it's a smidge cheaper and has the bonus of not choping up the original Land Rover Defender (PUMA) - Double Din Dash Sat Nav Head Unit Fascia Panel Kit [piano black] The thread also discussed some head units, but seemed to be mostly aimed at entertainment systems.

So what am I looking for in the unit?
    - GPS - onroad AND offroad
    - Radio
    - Bluetooth - Android, make ph calls and use spotify etc
    - maybe in the future a reverse camera or a dashcam integration????? but that isn't needed i guess.
    - Relatively easy to use.

I'm a stereo noob, I have never really changed a car stereo before and I dont get all nerdy about all the plugs and stuff on the back.

    So my questions are:

    - Recommended units ?
    - What to watch out for? Tips and advice in general.
    - Can I just buy a unit that does Nav and then load on offroad hema maps later?

    cheers guys.

PS. I have found these: - please give comments and experiences if you have any

Britpart has the double DIN dash units in its catalogue.
Polaris has units that use Hema maps.

OK so maybe no-one cares... maybe no-one has looked, but I have found a couple more options for double din GPS units.

    Z-N626H – Zenec Australia

Universal In Dash GPS Multimedia Unit - My Polaris

I had a bit of a fiddle with a display unit of the Zenec, seems pretty good to use, easy and logical with big text for blind ppl Map updates are about $150 apparently. some other brands are up around $300?

I also looked at a 9" alpine single din, but I don't like covering up the hazard and wiper switches (and probably the clock) plus it would look stupid. Also only did the android auto thing.

So far I'm leaning towards the Zenec because it seems like good quality and has plenty of options - reverse camera compatible and DAB blah blah.... I have to count my pennies....

There are a lot of cheap android dd units on ebay but have a look at the joying brand ones, the 2 you listed in your first post are about 2-3 times what they are worth.

Are you saying that the units in my first post are rebadged and overpriced?
