You can mount the vehicle antenna in a portable box. Then you’d just need to buy a 2nd external and internal antenna to mount in/on your van. When you stop for the night just unplug the cellfigo from the car and plug it in to the car. It vines with a cigarette plug adapters by memory
Yes, I think that will be the plan, il get another 2 aerials for van and just move unit. I hard wired power to a switch on dash so il purchase another power cord as well.
I did just put a rv internet thing in van so il see if that picks up signal from car first. Just need to get away with van to try it.
The celfi go works well as we had full range dropping to 2 bars at one point for a short distance in an area where we normally drop reception, so we are happy, and wife can travel the route knowing if anything happens she has range.
Only if its a concern-- the full length antennas will put you overheight.. I went with the CD7100 X 2 and its barely legal.
While we have had a Cel-Fi Go for a few years now & have been very happy with the performance I have upgraded to a quality 4G modem with a MIMO antenna.
Using our phones on WiFi calling with phones connected to the new modem, the Cel-Fi Go is all but irrelevant now. As consumers of copious amounts of data, our download speeds are 10 times faster in some cases than that achieved when the modem connected through the Cel-Fi.
RobMichell, I'd look a decent MIMO antenna connected to the RV Wifi Router as an option to moving the Cel-Fi Go between vehicles.

I hope you get good service from that modem,, every single piece of NCE gear in our van is terrible..
we went with a Netgear M5 with twin antennas. I remember reading up on mimo and going the other way.. I'm sure there was a reason... [bighmmm]

So for remote travel in a vehicle,no van,is cel fi still the best way to go?
I use a telstra mobile which has an external antenna,on the roof,works very well,but a cel fi type of set up is more convenient as I can use my apple phone I use all other times apart from travelling.
