12V 1.5W Solar Trickle Charger - Do These Work

I have a 12V 1.5W Solar Trickle Charger from Jaycar I want to hook up to a 12v car battery via the cigarette lighter.

I suspect 1.5w is a bit light on power to keep a 12v car battery topped up. Is this correct?

correct, its enough to maintenance charge a disconnected battery but not one in an electronic vehicle.

it will, under ideal circumstances put about 1/8th of an amp into the battery @12v.

on a series landy or a tdi300 deefer/isuzu county it would do the job.

I reccomend them and similar items for a battery that you're going to leave for months on end in a vehicle you wont use much (think tractors/boats) and can isolate the battery.
