Crowded +ve battery post - alternatives?

    Hi all

My starting battery that sits under the passenger seat in my Defender is starting to feel a bit lop sided in terms of connections on the +ve post.

I have the following connected to it:

    • winch power feed (large cable)
    • dual battery solenoid feed (large cable)
    • UHF power feed
    • battery monitor power feed
    • power feed for rear anderson plug (to power boat winch - large cable)
    • ARB air compressor (big one) power feed (large cable)

3 of these cable are huge and make it hard to bolt up the battery clamp.

What are the options? Is there anyway of mounting all these cables into one then running a single large cable to the +ve battery post?

    Thanks

    spread the love..

small to medium terminals can be put onto the alternator
    larger terminals the startermotor

Earths can come back to nearly anywhere, the earth strap has 2 sides

theres one down on the transmission

one from the engine to the chassis

or you make up bus bars

And you don't need an extra heavy (large) cable from you battery to the bus bar as I assume you wouldn't be using all the large current draw items at the same time.
