Digital thermostat installation on upright fridge - temperature sensor

Finally got around to wiring up a Willhi WH7016C and to the SECOP BD35F compressor in my fridge (Novakool 80L upright). The Willhi came with a temperature sensor and cable, which for testing purposes I've simply opened the door, put it in and closed the door.

Is it possible to make use of the existing BD35F temperature sensor, to save having to run the Willhi sensor into the fridge?

    Links dont seem to work.

    Anyway,do they say sensor type?

They will probably either be NTC or PTC.

If they are both the same, that is both are either NTC or PTC,the sensors are probably interchangeable.

The fridge uses a mech thermostat, and the controller electronic, so I assume not interchangeable. I'll try and find a way into the fridge where the existing thermostat runs.

    They work for me.

I'm using the same temp controller in the modification I did to my very old Engel.

Has anyone fitted temp control unit to an Engel?

Finished the job today (took a while!). Fortunately the inlet for the mechanical thermostat was sealed up with white bluetack/playdough looking goop, and was easy to remove. This allowed me to insert the digital sensor neatly in the back of the fridge. Mounted the unit next to the fridge, which should make it much easier to control and monitor.
