Neat how it shows all the info on the first screen, (device list) when one opens the app…..

saves one tap on the phone I guess, not that I check all the often anyways.

It’s very handy for me, with 5 Victron devices all displayed on the front screen

I still have to scroll down when I'm anywhere near one of our 45KWH battery units - 17 devices pop up - each of the batteries (12 x 300Ah) then 3 x Inverters, the battery monitor and the screen.

I also run the Victron VMS app so I can see all our sites real time - over 20 sites across the City now and growing. Nothing else comes close to the Victron gear - we've had other OEM's come and show us their kit, but they are all a long way behind.

Yes, we use the portal as well all the time - screenshot of the first page then one of the 45KWH units we have out - the 6KW of solar panels gets connected to this site on Thursday so will have better data soon - I've had to redact certain info - it shows the sites they are on which I can't disclose. The amount of data at your fingertips is awesome - there's some really clever diagnostics you can do as well - given that our gear moves from site to site, we often have to tweak settings to suit individual loads which is a snap to do - and doesn't drop the unit out when you rewrite the program. It's clever enough to upload the new file, compare it to the old one to make sure it loaded correctly, then switch to it seamlessly. It's almost impossible to brick a controller by doing a remote upload - unlike with some other control systems - if you lose comms half way through an upload, you're driving to site to do a hard reset - not an issue with Victron.

Well, Selectronics comes close, actually it's superior. We use Selectronics for our bigger off grid stuff (mainly ac coupled), and Victron for our small stuff (mainly dc coupled).

They are the only brands we use though. Dealers and repairers for both.

You could be right but there aren’t any OEM’s building commercial portable BESS units that are using them from what I’ve found.

If you know of a system running Selectronic gear that’s got around 45KWH of battery capacity and 45KW capacity with around 100 amps pass through current for around the $120K mark I’m all ears.

Hmmm, we could possibly build it.
I have some smart engineers (ex selectronics) that I am in charge of, I'll run it by them.
