older antenna coupler on new phones
Hi folks, I still have one of the full nokia car kits with external antenna and coupler that sits on top of phone craddle for a nokia phone pre next / 3 g.
The phone that fits that cradle is long gone but I was wondering if I installed the antenna and coupler and placed a new next g or 3 g phone under it as it was designed for would it have any reception benefits?
The phones can connect via bluetooth to the car kit but it is better reception that is the goal.

depending on what phone you have, you can either buy passive couplers like the one you mention, or you can buy aerial patch cables to suit

If its the half moon shaped aerial coupler , it can be brocken down were you will find a cooper type liner , if you do a little reasearch you may be able to buy a cheap universal cradle split it and place the cooper film inside with a little ingenuity you have you self a new aerial patch lead and cradle, suggest you purchase a RFI, CD2195 these cover a good band width, GSM, old CMA/ NEXT G -3G, HOPE THIS HELP SOMEWHAT!!
