I've used utorrent for a long time and havent had any problems with it. Usually find my torrents through Isohunt. I also use a utility called PFConfig to configure my ports and it makes a big difference.
Make sure you are using peer guardian, you don't want to get a nasty email from your isp like i did a while back which was forwarded from MGM asking that they take action against me.

I use google to find torrents :D, and an ancient prog called bitTornado for download managing.

A great site for TV only is.
EZTV - TV Torrents Online
It can be up and down a bit. But it always has the latest shows.

Also use utorrent, i dont touch the servers settings but i do reduce the upload speed. A good program to open ports correctly is called simple port forwarding, you select your router model and it sets it up and tests for you.

I use uTorrent and I think it's great......
If you are after torrents......just go to google and type in whatever your after and then the word "torrent" and you should be able to find it.
For example, if you want........an AC/DC album called "Back In Black"
Type in google search:
back in black torrent
......and you will see a heap of links to torrent sites listing the album.
NOTE: When you find a torrent, you should be looking for torrents with a good amount of "seeders". Seeders are the people that have the file on their computers and are sharing it......."Leechers" are the people who are downloading the file (torrent), that's you. Once you have downloaded your file you are then a "seeder" and others are "leeching" the file off you.....until you remove it from your torrent software list.
Ports:
If you know your routers address eg: 10.1.1.1 you can access it like a web site by putting 10.1.1.1 in your browsers address bar and hitting enter. Routers have different adresses, just google your make to find out what it is.
Unless you have changed it your username and password for your router should be factory set to UN: admin and PW: admin. Find the port area of your router and set your port number to eg: 4662. Now go to the preferences in utorrent and set your port number to 4662. It does'nt matter what number you set them both to, as long as they are both the same. If you open your ports it will speed up downloading in utorrent etc
Also limit your upload rate to about 10kb/s in your utorrent preferences section or your net usage will go thru the roof. find it, it's in there.
If you have a favourite torrent site, go to that. But if you can't find the torrent you want just google it as above.
Some sites I use.
www.rarbg.com
www.kickasstorrents.com
Anymore questions just ask.......cheers
Steve
PS: DOWNLOADING IS ILLEGAL!!!! I ONLY USE TORRENTS TO DOWNLOAD LEGAL NON COPYRIGHTED FILES ETC ;)
