yeah, I understand the ads and banners but seriously the pop up things really annoy as they are a pain, and I am not interested in Guffins which until I got these pop ups I didnt even consider existed!
Unfortunately its the sort of thing that reduces how often youll use a site because what else is popping up etc? As it steps around my pop up blocker I think its an invasion and bluntly...bloody rude!
I don't get to see any of these things at home, sorry, I have ad block plus installed on firefox. Will someone tell me how much the site makes on these ads, I would rather subscribe more than put up with ads. They would cost ME valuable down load time if I let them in so subscribing for me is the better option.
Went to the local library and logged on to AULRO, now I can see why the popups are giving people the irrits.
popups still here - but a different one now.
Firefox tells me it blocked 2, but a 3rd one opens when I click on "new posts"

and your constantly whining about it does what other than stir others up?
Was that directed at me?
I was just informing you in case you were interested? Since you stated that they "should have been turned off" Perhaps I should have sent a pm instead?
I cannot see how a couple of posts can be seen as "constantly whining"
Wrong side of the bed this morning Inc???
Well I won't say anything now:eek:
if anybody is still seeing popups please pm me with the details..
a man can only do so much, i always do the best i can with what i have to work with and i dont mind coping a bit of **** if i am at fault but it gets a bit much when i am busting my guts trying to get things sorted, if you get my drift...
Hi Incisor,
Not a popup, but there is a banner ad appearing on aulro stating
"Ring 911 at the first sign of a stroke".
It is from the American Heart Association.
I believe that the advertising agents who sent this to aulro should be crucified.
Peter
No popups on the library computer, thanks incisor:)
