network may no longer be in range???
Hi All,
Im having some truoble with a new PCI network Adaptor I recently bought, a TP Link 350GD. Its going into my old and faithful desktop PC after a recent TV Explosion took it out its on-board network port, Long story short TV -> XBox -> Router -> Desktop. Luckilly the WIFI part of the router survived and i can still access the net via laptop and iphone, but this new PCI adaptor just wont work!
When I use the windows software to try connect it shows up in the avail networks box and U can "Connect" to it, but as its trying to connect I get "Network may no longer be in range" dialogue box and it fails to connect, however when U refresh the network, its there again, and U can start the whole process over.
Now, I thought it may be a distance thing (its about 11 paces) , but I can surf quite easilly with both the lappy and the iphone sitting at the desk where the PC is, so it cant be that.
Ive changed channels, Ive updated drivers, ive removed other Network adaptor drivers, Ive used the TP Link Software, ive uninstalled the TP Link Software, Ive even tried it on 2 seperate PCI slots. I guess my next move will be to dissable security and see if it will connect then but it certainly cant stay that way.
Initially when I first fitted it up, It did connect using the TP link software, however after a few hours it would bugger up and i had to restart the PC to get it going again, then it would conect, and drop in and out untill it just wouldnt connect anymore, quite annoying!
So, I did some googling, but came up short and this is my next port of call, im reasonably 'puta savvy but this is peacing me off big time!
Any help, greatly appreciated!!!
