I run XP SP3 and activesync works fine for me.
I believe you have to use Windows mobile device centre for Win 7.
Have a look at this page, especially step 2: Prepare Sync Windows Phone 6.5 | Windows Mobile Sync | Windows Phone 6.5
I have a couple of devices that need Activesync for my computer to talk to them.
My PC has Windows 7 so Activesync does not work with it - its update Windows Mobile for some reason will not load even though the PC validates OK.
I decided to download Activesync for my laptop which is Win XP but I have SP3 loaded and Activesync only works with Win XP SP2 and earlier.
Any suggestions??? I need to do some work inside Win CE of two GPSs I have.
Thanks
Garry

Ok thanks - it was just that the Windows site said that it was for SP2 or earlier but if it works for you I will install it and see how it goes.
For some reason Windows Mobile Device Centre for Win 7 will not install on my PC even though it passes the validation check.
If I can get Activesync on my laptop that will be good.
Cheers
Garry
