what they claim and what they do are vastly different depending on use.

Of course, one might ask the question, would any of these other choices (non iPad) even exist had it not been for the Apple product? One company goes out and designs and brings a polished product to fruition - others then try to emulate it. To me, it's kind of like settling for a Land Cruiser. As said above, if you want the real deal - get an iPad.
Here is a review of the best 5 available....

For mine, iPads are not expensive for what you get.....

I drive a Defender so I bought a Panasonic Toughbook so I can hose it off when I get mud on the keyboard. Its also got a 320Gb 'load' capacity, a bit more than than the little 'doof doof' machines with a max of about 64Gb.
I must admit though, I did look at the ipads etc recently ............ but decided to stay with the 'defender'. :D:D:D
One ring to rule them all ay ? :Rolling: Based on that logic, we'd all be lugging an Epson around for our laptops ....

Except the iPad isn't the dinosaur here - the competitors are! http://tablet-computer.pikimal.com/ That's the "try to emulate it" bit. ;)
Do you need 320Gb on a tablet? I'd prefer to have other features... http://tablet-computer.pikimal.com/p...s/apple-ipad-2 - there again, I don't use my 1000kg payload either so I guess a Cruiser would have done. :D
The Apple can read tiff files which it is important for me.
Just wonder if it is good idea to bring it for USA ?
