    Safari behaviour

    Hi All,

After updating to OS 10.6.8 on my Macbook I noticed that I was getting cookies even when set to block cookies always. ( via preferences > privacy ). Can also now log into Aulro and Outers, etc with cookies blocked, previously couldn't.

    Any thoughts?

    cheers, DL

OSX has probably saved the passwords with keychain. Go to applications/utilities/keychain. You'll be able to see any password that OSX uses. Hope this helps!

I have the same problem. The "Block Cookies" setting never seems to stick, and it's the same with OSX 10.7. I posted a question about it on Whirlpool but never found a solution.

There's a related thread on Mactalk. One suggestion there had to do with accessing gmail via the browser, which my sister has been doing on this thing. Somehow lets google in.

I've noticed that it now seems to be deleting cookies and cache stuff after 24 hrs or after a restart. Wasn't before. All seems to be traffic counting.
