    Mac or IBM?

Will be looking to upgrade the computer towards the end of the year, currently have an IBM drsktop, dont ask me what goodies it has, dad built it about 18 months ago.

I've never been a Mac fan but im liking the simplicity of the iphone and the ipad and though i'd consider buying a mac this time round.

I know this has been done to death just like the toyota v land rover debate but im after genuine feedback from people who know and have experience with both. I wont be using it for games it'll be used for photography stuff, working on my website and word processing.

since i switched a couple of years ago i will never look back. My main use is email and surfing the net, simple stuff really. its quite surprising how well work and excel convert to pages and numbers but if you need to use work alot than you will need to purchase word and have dual boot i think, dont take my word on that.

mine has never locked up, had a virus, crashed etc i just accept all updates and have never had a problem.

have had a few frustrations finding my way around but they have been minor really, most times if you think how would you do it logically than thats normally how apple of designed it

You will love the way a Mac does not need virus protection updates all the time and does not need software updates every 5 min.

    They just work (mostly)
