    Renting Movies through Itunes

    Hi

has anyone here rented movies through itunes?

    I have a few questions

I was wondering whether to rent a couple of Movies and put them on the Ipad for when I go away. apparently you rent them for 30 days however it appears you only have 48hrs to watch them when you hit play.

So does that mean you are only able to watch them once?? because it says you can stop play and it automatically picks up whhere you left off.

also I'm assuming once you downloaded there is no need to connect to the store internet connection to be able to watch??

does it actually download to your Ipad or do you have to be connected to a network to watch on the Ipad via another computer or laptop or something.

is the quality and play back OK?

Does anyone know the general size of the movies and their average download time on ADSL1.

what I'm thinking is renting 4/5 movies putting them all on the Ipad before I go away and then just watch each one if an when I want Im not going to be away for 30days....so as long as i can do this i will be happy

looking for feedback and pros and cons of using this method..rather than paying out and finding it doesnt work how ii expected.

i did look on itunes but they dont really say a lot about it

If it's anything like the Playstation store, the movie is downloaded to your device.

Once you hit play, you have 48 hours to watch it as many times as you like. Once the timestamp expires, the file won't play anymore.

I'd say the movies quality should be DVD quality as a minimum for most titles, if not better.

In theory, you should be able to sync it to other devices.

In practice, there seems to be a whole lot of trouble getting it to work.

Lou, even though she normally downloads directly to the iPad, Elisabeth thinks she's synched in the past.

However, she suggests getting the Azul app which allows one to transfer stuff without using iTunes.
