I run VMware fusion and win7 on my mac just for rave - means no pc required. Works well - purists may criticise but ...

As much as I despise working in a Windows environment these days, I have to say that the little Lenovo XP machine that I purchased is proving to be handy for that very reason. Also finding it useful for admin at my sporting club.

I use a freeraved version of D2 RAVE which I've compiled into a PDF Portfolio. The main draw back is that you must use Adobe Acrobat to view, but it corrals all the bits into a single bundle.

It's still a bit of a work in progress, and needs a few files added, but it is far easier to use than RAVE or a bunch of loose pdfs.

Having all the Tech Bulletins etc in a portfolio makes it very easy to search for information:

Having just 1 laptop was a breeze when traveling around oz, so I use Parallels with Winows XP on my MacBook to run Rave as well as Microcat, which proved invaluable when ordering parts in Broome from a local auto repairer.

But the old laptop in the workshop sounds like a good idea too.

    Latest rave mac compatability

    Hi all,
have searched the threads in regards to the latest rave cd and mac compatibility, i didn't find anything recent. i was wondering if the latest cd in store is fully compatible. i realize it says so in store description but was wondering if anyone can personally vouch for it. I'm looking at rebuilding my td5 disco head and only have a mac.
    thanks

Some say Rave will not work on Mac, but I have downloaded it and have it working on my Mac with out any issues.
From the Mac,I was able to put it on to the iPad via DropBox.

I disagree. I've bought 2 CD's from the store and neither of them work on my 2 Macbook's. Both work on my windows laptop. It appears as a blank CD on all Macbooks.

Edit: I don't disagree they work on your laptop... you know what I mean!
