    Yeah, it's quite neat - it is fully transparent, so acts just like a regular ethernet cable. Plug it in each end and away you go.

    If he wants the best he can get.. a trench digger, some conduit, and cat 6e

    I have 3 independent WiFi networks linked around my block with Cat 6e

    Ok. I'm recommending he install a TP-Link TL-WA830RE
    If he wants to cut concrete, trench, lay conduit and cable he can do that later.
    Does anyone have any problems with my selection?

    Not the best most effective way, but if he can't do any cabling then I guess it will have to do :S

    My suggestion is in post 4, but he isn't willing to run cables yet so not really going to help.

    It's got something to do with the amount of concrete that would need to be cut and reinstated.

    That assumes there's room at each end of the concrete to bring a conduit up, which is not the case in this instance. Think a large concrete slab with a large building each side. Clearance required overhead, so can't run it on a catenary either. Wireless is the only economic way to sort out what needs to be done.
