The work Surfaces are now working OK with Flash online educational games after being updated, so it can be fixed.

True, but my work IT is dissatisfied with the Surfaces and has decided to replace them with laptops, so it won't be an issue for us for much longer. We also favour Google over IE.

So Dave told me when I contacted him, either way I was still getting the same issues as the OP. Anyway I did what he said to do and logged out and back in. It took four times before it came good.
