NBN WiFi Range?

If you room in the roof, you try a wireless access point like this

you will need to run a lan cable

This one is good as the power supply stays at the modem end, if the run is less than 30m.

The power goes along the lan cable

Well, the NBN is up & running in The Jonesfam household!http://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
And I must say that so far I'm impressed. The speed, & this is just a by feel judgment, seems much faster than the old 3/4G system, AULRO comes up immediately instead of after a second or 2.
The range of the Telstra Gateway Max Wi-Fi is pretty good, right through the main house & to most of the bedrooms.
We have just bought & installed a Wi-Fi range extender for a couple of the bedrooms because the signal was weak & did drop completely out occasionally but this was only the furthest 2 bedrooms which have 4 metal clad walls between the Gateway & them.
Also the Telstra Box was very easy to set up & just started working after 5 or 10 minutes, no problems, then 3/4 of an hour putting the new Wi-Fi password in all the devices. So we now have kids madly U-Tubing & game playing. Quiet kids? It's amazing this internet thing!

I was with Telstra, but the day of connection was the day I switched to Optus so it was even more surprising the phone worked right away, ie it was working on the Telstra connection , then right away after instalation on the nbn modem.
