Computer Stuff - MOV to MPEG

I have a Kodak digital still camera which has a half reasonable movie mode.

It produces the movies in MOV format that is played with QuickTime. This format is not recognised by a DVD player, Windows Media Player or any of my DVD making software.

Can anybody point me in the direction of free software (not demos) on the web that can convert MOV files to either MPEG 1 or MPEG 2 files - I can then edit and make VCDs or DVDs from these.

Have done a search but only get demos or buy stuff.

    Thanks

    Garry

I know this isn't strictly the answer you wanted... but you can dowload a free version of quicktime from the apple site.

    Hiya garrycol.

    Have a look at vcdhelp.

I did a search and could only find some .mov to .avi convertors (that were free).

Maybe that is all you need?

This is one that caught my eye though: MP4Cam2AVI

    Cheers,

Someone here might be able to help how do you get the photo to your profile. I cant seem to work it out. I did try using Microsoft paint to make the picture small so it was 80 x 80 but this changes it from a Jpeg to a Bmj or some thing like that and I still could not use it.
Any thoughts would be great :?
