one of my clients cannot wear a quartz watch
every one you put on her will stop within a couple of hours, usually within half an hour
amazes the crap out of me...
Recently purchased a Samsung S8. The phone is not the problem, I am sure it is me. Today while I was out my pocket lit up. The torch function had turned itself on and was warming my leg through the pocket. Removing the phone, I found 18 different processes turned on. This happens regularly and the only way to clear this mess was to turn the phone off and back on. This happens regardless of type of phone I am carrying. My eldest daughter cannot wear a battery powered watch. It goes flat in 2-3 days. What is wrong with us?

I seem to have problems with the touch screen time clock and our new scanners at work. Three out of four touches either don't work or give me the ring screen ?
One of the things that can happen is the phone powering up because it rings, you receive a message, you receive a notification etc. When the phone powers up the touch screen becomes active, making pocket dialling a real possibility.
I enabled the security feature where you have to enter a PIN (or in my case a fingerprint swipe) so the screen doesn't become active, although it can still answer the phone in your pocket.
Next thing I will try if it proves a problem (and it hasn't over the last 6 months) is a case that protects the screen.
To close open apps, touch the icon on the bottom left that looks like a window on top of another. That should show the open apps and allow you to close each individually.
I actually like turning the phone of and restarting about once a week, but then you have to reset the bluetooth volume (I use my phone to stream music in the car so I don't have to listen to the rubbish they call 'drive time').

You can adjust the sensitivity of the touch screen so that it isn't prone to "Pocket Dialling"
