How about using something like this. Deano :)
SSD Tools & Software | Download | Samsung V-NAND SSD | Samsung Semiconductor Global Website
Got it, doesnt actually do much thats helpful,, unless I'm missing something..
I thought Samsung Magician would be the perfect utility for upgrading/testing etc your SSD. I'll download it and see what it says about my old Win 10 SSD :)

Ha ha ....................., I already had it (Magician) installed. Seems to be a pretty good utility to set up the SSD to meet varying requirements :)

Ok,, so after running for at least 5 hours (left it downloading at 11pm) got up at 3am (dont ask) to find a bsod,,
ran chkdsk, "Read-only chkdsk found bad on-disk uppercase table - using system table"
stage 1 and 2 ok,
stage 3 examining security descriptors, errors detected in uppercase file
ran chkdsk /f
"failed to transfer logged messages to eventlog with status 50"
"windows cannot run disk checking on this volume as it is write protected"
ran bootrec /rebuildbcd
it found my synced backup on another drive,, but not on C
it completes /fixmbr
I dont have authority to run /fixboot
Is this a failure i can claim under warranty? or is it deemed my fault?
its not starting at all now,,[bigsad]
its saving the log files in my sync backup drive???
Returned for a warranty claim,,
5 years on these... [thumbsupbig]
though they dont actually make 850's anymore,, 860 now[bighmmm]
could be a credit or new 860 [bigwhistle]
