I would suggest to buy one from a place with a legal presence in Australia. Either Dell Australia site or a physical store. Any warranty problems will be much easier to resolve if a warranty is important to you.

Yes good point. Australian Computer Traders appear to be legitimate but you can't always tell.
I'll go to Harvey Norman and have a look first.
I found practically zero difference in operational time between Win7 and Win10 on a 4 yo ASUS laptop(my daughter used to use).
I thought about setting it up for myself to use, but in the past few months I've discovered zero use for it.
Win10 was the install/trial only, for a few days.
It is a Win7 laptop(missed the free upgrade to Win10 when it first arrived), but in trial mode I measured start up time and time to load some web pages(via shortcuts).
I have the numbers noted down somewhere, but being disorganised either can't find them, or chucked the note paper out.
But from memory, both OSes startup time on a totally fresh install(no additional programs installed) was in the 50-60sec region. After about 5 x testing of each. No one time had they produce an exact time to the point where the last icon in the taskbar/quick access bar had loaded up.
Once the PC settled, prefetch cleared for each occasion and using Firefox loading a web page always took about 10sec to load and have me logged in.
ps. if you want something cheap to get you by, I can offer this laptop for very cheap.
I have a vague memory that it cost about $400 back then, now no longer needed, so if you're interested I'm sure we could come to a reasonable figure.
Does have a 640G slow HDD, which is it's major limitation tho. Can't remember how much reserve the battery has now, but maybe only an hr or two. Works fine on main.
If you're interested and it helps you out in some way, send me a PM or something.
