    Voice controlled TV

MIL can no longer see much,, even the TV remote presents a challenge, but she still listens fine...
The TV in the Lounge room is some old gigantic plasma that wont even take usb sticks... so will be replaced by something Samsung (using their Smarthings app,) though maybe not as big---

The idea is voice control over the TV..

Can anyone help with actual experience with either Alexa or Google or ?

LG has the capability, but the microphone button on the remote has to be ( found !! ) then pressed ( no active listening )

    Yep.

I use Alexa, we can turn it on/off, change channels, volume, inputs.

Once you have it connected it’s easy as.

Grandson had this conversation with Siri:
Q: 'Siri, will you change the baby's nappy?'
Siri: 'No, I can't do that.'
