I am on 1909 and plan to stay there until Microsoft fix the bugs on 2404 whenever that will be.
My understanding from a Google is that you have to agree to update to 2404 if you are on 1909.
It will not do it automatically.

I think you're right, I'm still on 1909 as of last night and it was waiting for me to manually upgrade.

SWMBO has used my PC during the week when I'm working, so she may have clicked the ok button.
Inc, it's not the free version of RAVE, it's the ones I bought from your shop
I don't know if I have the current Acrobat reader, I generally use Nuance.

    ^^ This.

I just did this, after copying the RAVE CD to my HDD, in a simplified form as shown here: RAVE Not Running Under Windows 10? | RangeRovers.net Forum

I have a genuine RAVE disc, not a bootleg copy.

My win10 opens Rave even with the latest feature update. It runs it on Acrobat distiller 3.01 for windows whatever that is. The only message I get is for Helvetica not being available.

The acrobat version must be in the files which I have on my hard disk.

I have a genuine RAVE disc, not a bootleg copy.

Worked for me, I'm running 10.0.19042 (PC is only 4 weeks old) and it wouldn't start up.
Was about to post if anyones had this issue and a quick search brought it up
Trying to run from either of the 3 hard drives though I kept having to click thru a bunch of "file not found, path not found" etc etc until it got to the splash page.

Running it from the original .iso disc image in Alcohol 120% and these warnings all disappear so not sure what the issue is so just keeping them permanently mounted on 2 virtual drives.

Probably won't help anyone now, but I noticed this today. After opening RAVE for the first time in a long time to see if the D1 3.9 manuals were different to the 1995 RRC pdf I have, because I am chasing a evap issue with 'Lady Sarah'.

I have Windows 10 Home 2004 build 19041.685 - I changed the RAVE.exe and AcroRd32.exe to run in Win 98 SP2 compatibility mode and it's fine. Honestly the last time I opened the RAVE exe was probably on our beloved Windows 7 Pro. So likely almost a year ago.

I put only the rave.exe in windows 95 compatability and everything opens and clicks through properly with the included acro 4 reader. Too much effort opening individual pdf and scrolling thru.

I am running windows 10 october 2020 release with all updates installed.

I also have latest adobe acrobat reader dc installed and it does not interfere.

You can doubleclick the .iso on windows 10 which will open it up to show the folders/files then copy them to a folder on your hard drive (i named mine rave) put rave.exe in compatability mode, then create a shortcut on your desktop for easy launching.

Shortcuts do not have to be in compatability mode only the files they point to.

    Can confirm this works.

Seems Windows 95 compatibility is the key (tried working backwards thru versions).

    Thanks.
