    Purple Tracker Software

This purple tracker box in the attached pic has turned up on my computer - it does not seem to have a name.

Does anyone know what it is and how to I stop it appearing. Is very annoying as it covers the scroll bar and after deleting it, it opens back when I open a new page.

    Thanks

Looks like an antivirus/internet security notification. Check your security software, you should be able to turn notifications off.

I use Sophos and it is not part of that. I was hoping that someone would recognise it so I can go looking for it on my system.

You have 'ghostery', 'add block plus' and 'u block origin' extensions running in your browser. My guess is you have inadvertently activated an option in one of those extensions which is showing you a list of trackers which are either active or have been blocked on the current web site your are browsing.

Temporarily disable each extension one by one until you find which one is causing the problem and then explore the relevant options to suppress that purple window display.

My guess is 'ghostery' is where your problem is. It's not 'u block origin', it shows trackers etc. in a different way.

BTW do you really need all 3. They each do substantially the same thing.

Thanks I will check them out - the reason for the three is that some sites run anti ad block software but normally for only one - I just disable the adblocker of concern and still do not get ads.

Yep, the icons for each extension are visible.
