    Cheap MSOffice 2007

Don't know if anyone's seen this already. Offers been going for a while.

    http://www.itsnotcheating.com.au/

$75 for the full kit... if you're a uni student.

Don't get me wrong here... I was thinking of using open office instead of upgrading from Office2003. But at this price that's pretty cheap and I happen to be enrolled somewhere

download open office its freeware, its as good if not better than Microsoft Office, runs on windows, linux and mac systems and takes less space on your hard drive and denies Bill Gates money.

has full range of writer, spreadsheet, powerpoint, maths functions.

Open Office currently lobbying Dell COmputers to load it onto their computers.

will load files from other software systems including Abode PDF files which Microsoft Word wont do.

Please, everybody now point you web browser to

    http://www.zdnet.com/security
    http://www.cnet.com/security
    http://www.computerworld.com/security

Read the security warnings about Vista, MS Office 07, IE7, Windows Genuine Advantage, Quicktime, and many many more. And be afraid.
    Well, concerned at least.

These are just some of the internet and IT security sites I am registered with.
At this point in time, no way, will I upgrade my stable installation of XP Pro Corporate, to Bill's new "View" of the world.
Nor will I uninstall my copy of Open Office, Gimp2, Firefox, Thunderbird, etc. Bill has enough money.

    Shorty.

Yeah, quiggers. I only run Windows to keep shuffleing along with the masses. I would like to be able to afford a decent Mac, can't, so too bad.
Do have Linux installed as well, that makes me feel a little better. Not so easy to hack, and not the big virus target that MS is.
Have just spent three days wrestleing with a Windows powered laptop, that the ladies kids had been into. Oh, Mr. Hart, could not make a bigger mess. Ended up formatting the drive and reloading everything.
Don't have to do that with Linux, nor, I suspect, the Mac.

    Shorty.
