Never done Vista, so no idea.

Watching with interest from a great distance.

In the time you haven't finished yours, I've picked a new computer off the side of the road (P4 3.06 thanks very much), rebuilt it twice, and tried to destroy the burner in it.

    Cheers

Put the old one in an external box, it'll probably recognise it as a USB device with no problems.

Like Simon says, although the laser scribing probably won't work.

Or, put it in a padded post package and send it to me.
My CD Burner just spat the dummy, and I had to dis-connect it to get the machine to boot. I could use a nice shiny new DVD burner.

Oh, and those Lightscribe drives work just lovely under XP.

Best thing to do is get rid of Vista and go back to XP pro. Well, I did and Sony even have a free "downgrade" from their vista machines back to xp, haha.

It seems quite a few manufacturers are giving the "downgrade" choice now.

Sony, IBM, Dell, HP, and many many more. As the add says.
