I thought being a subscriber cut down the number of ads - not in the banner obviously but in the threads.
Or is it not the case now.
the adverts in the threads are only shown to non subscribers.
or thats how it should be....
if you are a subscriber and you are seeing them let me know i will turn them off for you.
Geeezzzzzz.........:eek2:... If my computer got up to 20% cpu usage I would be worried, 100% usage and I would be heading for Inc's Fabulous Computer Shoppe, where man walking through door with Credit Card in hand is always welcomed.
Did I mention that I have 2 CPU's.
Did I mentioned that they are both overclocked by 15%.
Did I mention that they are both AMD.
So there is your answer.....get rid of the lowly, slowly performing Intel processor and go AMD:D, see no problem now.....told you it would work.
Do you head in to your local LR dealer, credit card in hand to buy a RRS every time someone beats your IIA away from the traffic lights?:D:D
I think I get the same sort of satisfaction from getting acceptable performance from a free 7 year old computer that you probably get from your Series IIAs.:D
If you had a question about the sluggish performance of your IIA, you wouldn't want someone to respond by suggesting you sell it and buy a Range Rover Sport.:p
I have been aware for some time of the way Apple users and PC users argue about the relative merits of their system, just like Windows v Linux, IE v Firefox and LR v Toyota.
I didn't realize how loyal some users were to either Intel or AMD.
It seems a bit like LR owners arguing about TDi v TD5 or manual v auto.
Actually some LR owners do argue about those things so perhaps I should not have been surprised that Intel V AMD could be an issue.:D
I am actually quite pleased with the performance of my computer. For most of the tasks I do, there is no discernible or significant difference between it and much more modern machines running a different OS.
So you keep enjoying your IIAs and I'll keep enjoyng my P4 1.7GHz.:D:D:D:p:p:p
When I built Rome I went over to the Dark side and put an Intell core two duo 6750 in,,
after many years of being an AMD fanboy--
sure enough, Vista tells me the slowest part of my system is my cpu,,,,
:mad::p:o:D
