    PDA sync to Outlook 2007

    Hiya,

A few months a go I started a new job, got a new laptop, etc.

I synced my existing Asus 620bt PDA (running MS Pocket PC 4.2) with the new laptop running Vista and Outlook 2007 v12 SP1. This copied all my contacts and past calender entires from the PDA to Outlook.

    Everything works fine.

BUT every time I connect the PDA to the laptop I see hundreds of deleted appointments in Outlook. These are duplicated past appointments.

Would appreciate any advice in how to stop this. Otherwise I'll wipe the PDA's memory, delete the Outlook association to the PDA, create a new association and re-sync the data, etc.

    Cheers.

    Hey WhiteD3,

Not that the error is exactly the same but Blackberries sometimes go whaack!! Sync issues and all... first point of fix to try is a quick delete of the profiles that have most likely been established in the user's folder (VISTA) or teh document~\[user]\local settings folder...

    Good luck

Can I assume you see the duplicates on the laptop?

What are the sync settings on the laptop?

Originally I had duplicates in both the PDA and the laptop. Deleted them in both devices and now I just get this string (100s of 'em in Outlook's deleted files) of deleted appointment every time I sync.

I have a Motorola Q9 and run ActiveSync 4.5 on XP with Outlook 2007.

If the items are appearing in the deleted items of Outlook I wonder if they are coming across from the deleted items of the Asus. Does such a folder exist?

Not that I know of. I think I'll delete the pairing, clear the pds then setup the sync again as "Clean".

    Thanks for your input

I forgot to mention the Motorola is running Windows Mobile 6 and when you delete anything in that it disappears into cyberspace so I have no problem with duplicates.

Let me know how you go.
