    Vista - windows.old

    Ok
I'm going to ask what is probably a really silly question, however...I always like to be sure before I press the button .

Bought this desktop back in Feb. Already had Vista installed and the shop had faffed around with it so I did a clean install.

So clearly the original install was then packed off as 'windows.old".

Now...can I delete the windows.old folder & contents without the sky falling in? Everything has been running as it should since Feb - so I don't see any reason it should be an issue, but I'm happy to be corrected.

    Cheers
    Mike

If there's nothing in it you need to keep it should be ok.

here's how to do it: How to remove the Windows.old folder that is generated when you perform a custom installation of Windows Vista
