VOB to MPG and the vagueries of WMM
Following Inside's example I thought I'd do a vid of the best bits I've caught on camera so far. One flaw in this cunning plan is that I've converted all my vids to DVD and now want to convert the VOB files back to AVI or MPEG.
Having done some research I figured the easiest way was to just rename the VOB files. This works 80% of the time with WMM importing them perfectly. The other 20% either have no sound, no video or WMM doesn't recognise the file at all.
Ideas, thoughts, guidance?

............after much computer crunching I've got 25 minutes of action scenes (basically a year's worth of vid) from the 80% of the vid I could convert. Now to whittle that down to something watchable.................
