Sorry Inc......I should know by now to give as much info as possible when posting. I am aware you can do it this way, but I want each bookmark to open by default in a new tab if possible.

That is about the only feature of IE7 that i like, there is a little tab next to the main tab that you click to open a new IE window, where as Firefox you have to go file > new tab .

Ctrl T will also open a new tab. I have set Firefox to open to AULRO & Google on 2 separate tabs. If I need to, I just use the Google page to open a bookmark.

The other option is to add your most used bookmarks to the toolbar, then just right click & open in a new tab.

I suspect i'm just being lazy as usual.........all my shortcuts are currently across my toolbar so really I am just looking to reduce my mouse clicks from a heady 2 to 1..................... Prime example and insight into the damanding world we/I now live in I would suggest

How do you set Firefox to open AULRO and Google on separate tabs as this may be what i'm chasing?

    Cheers Basil, Mick

Easiest way, is to have 2 tabs open to the pages you want to open on start up.

Go to Tools - Options - Main then click on the button that says "use current pages"

Just make sure that the AULRO page is at the log-in point, otherwise, things go haywire...

Instead of right clicking on the bookmark, "drag and drop" the bookmark onto the area to the right of the tabs. Assuming your bookmark toolbar is just above your tabs this means just dragging it down about a half cm.

    Pretty quick.

But note if you drag and drop it onto an existing tab it will open it in that tab.
