At the end of last month Skype was released for the Touch and iPhone. I bought the earbuds and mic for my touch and now as long as I have a wifi connection it works a treat. Just thought I'd pass this on![]()

Far better, as it keeps all kind of stuff in the one app, is Fring. This logs into your Skype account, MSN account, Yahoo acount, etc, etc all from the one app.
Its free at the app-store. I use it on both my iTouch and my Nokia N95 without a single hitch. Its one of those things that "works just great"...
"Using your handset′s internet connection, you can interact with friends on all your favourite social networks including Skype®, MSN Messenger®, Google Talk™, ICQ, SIP, Twitter, Yahoo!™ and AIM®. You can listen to music with your Last.fm friends, check out what each other are up to on Facebook, receive alerts of new Google Mail™ and tailor make your very own fring by adding more cool experiences from fringAdd-ons™.
fring puts all your online friends into one, dynamic fringFriends™ buddy list, which is always connected so you can enjoy free calls and instant messaging with all your online friends, see their real-time status, and even find each other’s actual location."
Works equally as well on a WiFi connection as it does on a data plan.
Also keep on eye out on the app-store for WeFi - coming very soon to iPhone and iTouch (again, something I'm using on my N95 and my wireless laptop). This WILL blow the other wifi connection sniffers away when its released for the Apple-i community.
