I'm looking for a program as well, I used "solid MP4 to DVD converter" (Solid Mp4 to DVD Converter and Burner | Audio Tools Download | PC World ) with limited success, it's a trial version, so that might be the reason it only burnt the first half hour of my video to DVD.

I do this often using Nero Vision 5. It is bundled with Nero 9.
I have other professional video editing software, but I find Nero vision will often do what the others won't and with less fuss.

I used to use Avi2dvd but it takes forever to encode. Ended up lashing out on a $50 dvd player that plays divx/mp4. Much simpler.

I have been through a few conversion programs lately - AVS, Nerovision, DVDfab, Avi2DVD , AutoGK, Xvid4PSP, Vidomi and have settles on Nerovision for converting /burning to DVD and DVDfab for ripping DVD's for XBMC playback on my Xbox. Mind you i rarely burn a disc nowadays.
