    Eee notebook pc

I have just acquired an Eee notebook pc for using to store photos etc whilst travelling. Is there any way of upgrading the ram in these little units? It only takes one stick of ram but do these sticks come in different capacities? Jim

    Hey,

I have the eeepc 1000H, bought it about a year ago. I upgraded it the RAM to 2 gigabytes at 667MHz (the most my eeepc can take). The brand is Kingston and the part number is KVR667D2S5/2G
It was easy to install, just unscrew the little flap at the bottom, take out the old one and slot in the new. I can't say there is much difference, but I did install Norton at the same time, and that would have slowed it down quite a bit.

    Thumbs up

If the new memory is not picked up on restart.Go into the Bios and disable the boot booster-save-reboot to the bios-re enable the boot booster-save-exit.
On normal re start the new memory will be recognised as 1.99 gb.
