something hidden in registry, gurus help please

I have been trying out trials of a web authoring programs.
One I tried was WEB BUILDER 6, a WYSIWYG. I tried it from a Cd given to me, it was a trail but I reckon it must have been cracked. As it comes up as REGISTERED and not TRIAL. The user agreement mentions not to use cracks as it will render the program useless in final publish. Ok, seems that it is a cracked vesrion. So I uninstalled it. I then downloaded the trial from the official site and upon installing it it again shows it is a registered version.
So I uninstalled it and did a search in the registry and deleleted all the remaining references to it. But this still produced the error. I also did a system restore to an earlier time and again it has the same problem.
So there must be something hidden in the system somewhere that alerts the new installation.
    But where to look?

Have you tried a registry cleaner like Glary or CCleaner?
    Cheers, Dale

Yes, but CC still leaves crap in the registry.... that's why I manually did a search in the registry. People that rely on these cleaners should do a regedit and then select find and type the name of what they cleaned in and see how much is left UNCLEANED!
It could be there is a hidden reference in the Windows folder?

Which is why I prefer Glary.

Sorry to ask the obvious but after the uninstall do you reboot or do a complete shutdown?
    Cheers, Dale

    Yes I do...
I just found some files in the Windows Folder, there was a list of stuff wbdbase.enu and wbcache etc for all languages.
I have removed these and will see if that fixes it.

It sounds like you may have already but also search for this sort of stuff in the registry too.

Still playing, I'm going to give Glary a try.
I looked at the forums of Web Builder and there is support if this happens... but what contact them and say " Sorry I seemed to have installed a blacklisted program.... EMBARASSING!. They wouldn't believe I did it accidently

Bugger if I can find it.... it can stay there for now. not doing any harm. I'm trying out some other software in the mean time.
I even shut off system restore, as sometimes programs can hide there too, I had this with a virus once
I Know one sure fire way to get rid of it , nuke XP and reinstall, but that's a last resort.
