    Hey Jim,

How are you finding the Truetrac up front?

    Still happy with your choice?

I'm about to buy one and just wanted to hear how you went.

    Cheers,
    Rez

    Hey Rez,

Well i didnt actually have the front truetrack for very long before i purchased a rear detroit locker...i did do one trip to the powerlines track and i could feel it helping, but i needed touch the brakes sometimes to help the torque transfer to the grounded front wheel.

you get a bit of torque steer with the front truetrack, but its only noticable when you back off the throttle at hwy speeds.

i actually havent been back to the powerlines with both lockers/LSD installed. its on my to do list.

I would definitely recommend a truetrack - it gives you that little extra confidence to tackle the outback (or get you deeper into trouble....you can look at it either way!)

They are cheap too, i paid about $600 landed - only $60US of that was postage.

    good luck.

    Detroit TTs in D1

Hi Guys...my 2c worth...I recently put TTs in both front and rear - easy to do and never looked back....excellent performance...the front unit provides a bit of 'return to centre' no bad thing... saves you needing a RTC steering damper :-) I got mine from Randy's Ring and Pinion - here's the link http://www.ringpinion.com/ProductDet...px?ProdID=4308. Current price around USD460 plus freight. I bought / shipped mine separately to keep below the AUD1000 customs limit so as not to pay tax etc.

All good news guys. I ordered a front TT from the states. $600 landed, happy with that.

I'll most likely order a rear soon too.

    Nope.

I have one in the rear of my RRC. It is entirely "transparent" in operation. That is to say that unless you know it is fitted, you wouldn't know it is fitted. Apart from the extra traction off road .
