Yeah thats pretty much it, I have seen some tight ones but your ones should come out easy with the diesel around them, I always use a pipe spanner on the injector pipes. or a crows foot. and i find it easier to pull the fuel pipes of the pump and remove them altogether, saves bending them, mark them just to make it easy, so you know what goes where.
and fit them loose, get them started on the thread then tighten them up.
I use the pipe spanner to save distorting the union nut.:p
MMmmm sounds simple enough even for me lol. when you mean clean is that the actual injectors? if so what would you recommend to use? appreciate your help that you have given me.Quote:

I knew that OEM heads were produced in Argentina, but never seen before this big markings from Your photograph. May be Your Head was changed in the past, since there is a 07 as production date.
One mate here had one injector leaking and he only tightened it. But the symptom was a lot of noise, but no low power...
Check your lift pump. It is responsible from a lot of cases from sudden power lost.

Okay, so, you have the same problem that I had. No biggy. Go and buy yourself a slide hammer, attach it to the top of the injector and slide bang the ***** of things out.. Do not turn the injector anti clockwise as you run the risk of seperating the injector. Not good. Secondly, and most importantly do not use the compression of the motor to loosen the injector.. you will shoot a hole in your roof or yourself. Dont do it. Should be loose coming out... if everything is okay.
My bro recently bought 4 new injectors from the US - $400 delivered to his door in Vic.
He applied copious amouts of diesel on themfor a few days leading up to the change date. When it came round, he did the job and found it was a peice of cake - and he doesnt have acess to the wealth of info from this site.
You dont remove the nuts, you only loosen them off enough to allow the injector to release, unplugging the pump solenoid and just cranking a few turns will most likely do it too.Quote:

Just took my truck to get the injector pump tweaked properly at romsey landrover repair center and told the blokes to check out the leak situation. He said the copper washes where fine and if they where worn it wouldnt leak diesel just compression... Ok cool..then they just said it was just weaping alittle diesel from either the plastic fuel lines or where the fuel lines are connected to on each injector..ok...so they said not to worry about it!!!! They checked the lines and copper washes and all was fine including the injectors.
So.........lol........what now? On the plus side she's pulling alot harder now with low egt readings and boost is now sitting on 15.5 psi compared to 12-13 or what ever the standard was.
