Famous Four - New Parts for '200' Series Discovery (1990-94 Models) - Cooling & Heating
Hi There
I have a 93 V8 discovery which has sprung a leak from the radiator. Does anyone know where i can get it re-cored or replaced at a sensible price. The ones i have seen are approx $650 and that is crazy.
Or will one fit from another model etc.
Please could someone advise me, any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Nick

I had mine recored locally for $500. Being a transitional 3.9 with the old interior and v- belts meant it was very tricky to find someone who could tell me for sure they were going to fit the right one. There are 4 different part numbers used in a very close VIN range. Not cheap but it's as good as new. Cheaper than a stuffed engine and a ruined trip.
Is it a proper brass core or just cheap plastic crap?
I have a 95 V8 Disco 1 radiator sitting in my shed. It wont fit my 110 so I don't need it. It has the oil cooler built into it. It has seen some very demanding work and never boiled over(when the viscous van actually worked). Its probably about 6 or 7 years old at the most.
