Ok, picked my disco up this afternoon and all is good. However, on starting up this evening, the anti lock and srs lights are staying lit. The car had 12 months rego done last week so had a pink (?) slip done. Any ideas? Thanks Phil
Ok, spoken to the last owner and he says the mechanic gave it the all clear as the lights started doing this after the new battery was fitted. is there a reset?
Also, the heating (I know how often will I ever use it?) doesn't seem to work. Is this an easy fix or does it just take ages to heat up?

oh, one more thing, the surround on the heating console is brittle and cracked, can I get a new one or is it linked to the actual centre console?

So many questions :D
The heaters had a life of about 12-13 years before needing replacement.
You will likely need to remove the whole dash to replace it, which is probably why it has been bypassed.
I replaced mine with a copper unit which should see the vehicle out. The original are aluminium...

The comment list went onto 2 sides of A4. Apparantly nthing is majorly serious apart from the rust from the front drain (I knew about that tho) However, Trans oil is very low so he has recommended I fill that up but I need to find the "right hole", brake pads are approx 1mm thick (no real issue there) but there are a lot of things that are "loose" and an issue with the gearbox (a cluck occasionally when going into reverse. Some of these things are easy fixes in the major service I have it booked in for in 4 weeks but some I'd like to do myself. Does anyone know of any vids etc... to help me with:
cleaning out the radiator
replacing uni rubber
topping up transfer oil
replacing rear shock bushes
