This is a pretty informative thread. I've built a 'virtual' carpc on my old laptop for use in my Falcon wagon but since we bought our discovery 2, I'm thinking about how I'll integrate it with the existing sound system. The car came with the rear DVD and it also has the stacker but that doesn't appeal to me, I've embraced MP3 and the like. The issue I had was a USB AM/FM tuner for my centrafuse setup. Thanks for the heads up for the HQCT tuner as that was the single biggest thing that stopped me. The AM bit is important for me and there aren't too many solutions out there so thanks for the heads up Pepercorn!! Did you buy from Europe or off MP3car?
I'll be doing a write up on my disco 2a later in the year after my wallet recovers from the pounding it got recently.

I bought it from their (HQCT) website.
After I received it I realised that I needed an aerial connection converter and (something else!!??) and wrote an email to them complaining nicely that they had little to no information for the buyer that these bits and pieces would be needed.
I added that their website could be better with information for the purchaser and now I would have to pay another reasonable amount for freight.
They answered me within a few days agreeing with me totally and offered to send the missing pieces free of charge and free freight.
So I have nothing but praise for them.
The unit itself HAS AM but few others, if any, do as I am aware.
There is another interesting feature that I have just added.
I found this
USB RF Wireless Keyboard | HTPC Remote : EFO.buy-lowest.com, EFO online gadgets store
It is great for when I need to go into WIndows for any reason or if I'm on the net in the car. It is a remote keyboard and Mouse which just works great which I keep above my Sun visor with some velcro. $40 is a bargain.
