It's the same in NSW. We had to get replacement compliance plates made when fitting seat kits.

I fitted the rear seats into my 1993 D1. I took a heap of photos from when I did mine and will post them up if it helps. Took the photos to put up but have been lazy.
I ended up getting a D2 SE7, so the question is kind of redundant now for me, but someone else may find the info useful.
If anyone's interested I just pulled out my rear seats to fit LPG in the boot.
Available with all mountings, seatbelts, bolts etc.
They're brown BTW
Personally if I were looking for as 7 seater in that price range I would choose a Pajero with forward facing seats and then make up head rests to suit. I have a D1 7 seat. Of course if you have a cage in the D1 or Pajero and dont remove it before seating kids in there it all becomes redundant. There was an article some time ago in the US about LR jump seats managing to eject kids seated there irrespective of the belt (which is lap only) - dont quite know why but it might have simply been the dynamics of the accident. Does the Paj have lap sash in that third row?
Cheers
