I can vouch for the awesome advice you'll get from here, having picked up my own 1st Landy a few weeks ago and needing to ask question after question!!

Thanks for all the advice guys. I'll get the coolant system looked at and flushed. Will do the oil/filter change myself and will be getting recovery points off Philco.

Not sure when the timing belt was last changed so I'll be getting that done. Any idea on a typical cost for timing belt replacement?

No timing belt on a V8. If someone actually quotes you to change one, run away very fast.....

Someone else will be able to give you an idea of how stretched the timing chain would be after only 118000 though
