forgot to mention i also have brit part steering arms, tough dog adjustable panhard rod and raked rear trailing arms. Soon to attempt the construction of a set of sway bar disconnects. And extended brake lines And front radius arms so i will have the right castor with the lift.Quote:

cooper st have been through all sorts from mud to extreme rock witrh no problems at all plus civilised on the road
i had a set of 245/75/16 cooper st's for a few weeks i took of my spare parts car but they didnt do the job i needed. I can understand they would suit dry rocky conditions. Like I have been saying all along what works for me wont work for someone else and visa versa. I need clearance and muddies for traction on the variety of different terrain in the high country and also for the top end with its different types of mud, rocks and river crossings. Think what ur going to drive on and set ur vehicle up accordingly ask the pro's ask joe down the road who just came back from the cape ask ur father who went there 20 yrs ago the more people you ask the more of an idea your going to get on "EXACTLY" what you need for your set up

I am enjoying this thread mainly because I am in this exact situation, "What size tyres" and as pointed out "different Folks different strokes"
Current dilemer is whether to lift and cut for 32". draw back might be towing my camper trailer.
in my experience mate mine with heavy trailer was fine.. i towed a tandom on back of mine with dingo and parts. aswell as other heavy itms she wouldnt have been light... and dont get me wrong i noticed that there was a trailer behind me thats for sure, but honestly it was nothing to worry about.. be gentle taking off and all is good. i went up through the grampians which had some hills to tackle.Quote:

have to say that after seeing this for my own eyes and talking previously to many people when i was looking for my 32s, that I WILL NEVER BUY COOPER TIRES, as i like to be safe in the car aswell as anyone else on the road and these tires were far from safe... .. random bit of personal experience for ya lol
just got back from labatouche where i put the standard michelin tyres through a barage of punishing tasks which they failed lol. no clearance no grip no way in hell. check my blog and have a laugh. next time i go to the same place i'll be running my 35 mtz's. we'll see how they match up
Would have thought that they would have been covered by warranty but if they are anything like the rest of the tyre companies they would be looking for proof that they had been rotated by a pro and had the pressure checked on a regular basis by yet again a pro. And that you had in your hot little hands the original receipt and all relevant documants to prove you have done the right thing by your tyres. IMPOSSIBLE. But expect it when you pay anything even $420+++ a tyre so keep records and receipts to protect your hard earned when the tyres you buy dont last like they are supposed to last
