any suggestions?
Morning all,
Just a quick question...
Yesterday my Anti Lock light came on on my dash, any easy things to check before resorting to the garage and a large bill.
Thanks guys,
Phil

Hey Phil,
Check out the recent threads about Antilock Light. MrWhippy posted a PDF with how to check the fault codes yourself without resorting to the garage - and my recent escapades with Antilock Light can give you a good clue how to fix it yourself.
Post a reply here if you can't find those threads (or the info therein doesn't work for you) and I'll give you a hand.
Steve.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the great link, found the flash sequence etc... Just 1 question:
1 the warning light relay is behind passenger side of fascia according to Haynes (any clue as to where that is?)
Thanks,
Phil

The warning lamp relay is behind the kickboard in the passenger footwell, underneath the glovebox. You'll need to pop the 3 (I think) plastic holders off and then the cardboardy kickboard will move out the way.
The relay rack is held in place with a single nut. Undo the nut and the relay rack will drop down to give you access to all the relays. There's no indication as to which one is which though, except the wiring. The ABS warning relay has 4 connections and is likely to be one of the green relays.
To diagnose my failed relay I simply swapped it out with one of the other green ones in the rack. Something else will stop working instead, but your ABS light should go out if it's the relay thats bung. Any decent motor spares will have the replacement and they're about $10.
Hope that helps!
Steve
