temp in 300TDi
well on a long drive drive Saturday we stopped at Laidley for a whil,e then continued on to the big orange on the highway, after leaving there about 1 km up the highway i noticed that the EM (connected to the thermostat housing bolt) was on 90% and climbing rapidly so by the time i got it stopped the buzzer was going off and it was at 101%, with heat soak it got to 106%.
i parked for 5 minutes and headed off again keeping an eye on the EM but the temp dropped and behaved itself for the rest of the day which ended up being a trip to Grantham via Gatton then back on the highway to Marburg and then to Boonah and finally home 413km all told. on Sunday i saw uncle ho (just after his interview) at the All British day at Tennyson his suggestion was it could be the viscous clutch fan having an unscheduled rest now and again. he told me of some repair stuff or the falcon equivalent, i m thinking of going with the ford part and if i do what part number or model is it off please.
thanks
